Digital Shadows at Klubb Död

Sometimes, you have to step into the darkness to see clearly. Not long ago, we attended a Klubb Död event featuring Emmon as the headliner. The experience became a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. It’s not just about the music; it’s about finding your circuit.

The evening opened with a documentary on Lebanon Hanover. Watching their Joy Division-inspired aesthetic on the big screen set the tone immediately. It’s fascinating how we managed to miss this duo until now, but their presence felt instantly familiar—a nerve that resonates deeply with Futuro’s own roots.

The Pulse of a DIY Revival

Throughout the performances, we were struck by the curated cohesion of the night. From France’s Denuit, who transformed the stage with a DIY light show using handheld flashlights in a haunting choreography, to the hyperactive energy of Night in Athens. There was a consistent Do-It-Yourself spirit in everything from the stage decor to the merch table that felt both authentic and inspiring.

Emmon closed the night with a professional, polished delivery. Her new, darker direction echoed the shadows of Depeche Mode, but it was the raw, experimental acts that preceded her that truly reminded us of the power within the current Electroclash revival. We left the venue feeling that Futuro has a natural place in this ecosystem. The community is out there, and we are ready to become part of the soundscape once again.
